Why don’t we have more top leaders in Danish politics?– Monday, March 9
On Monday, March 9, we invite you to an inspiring and informal gathering at Nabolag, where we combine sharp insights with a glass in good company.
Why aren’t there more top executives in Danish politics?
In many countries, it is completely normal for top executives to serve as ministers for a period and then return to senior roles in the private sector.
But not in Denmark, where it is often an either-or situation. Could it be different?
Now you have the chance to get up close to one of the rare journeys from the top of Danish business into politics. We will be joined by Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Aagaard (M), who will openly share his path into the upper ranks of Danish politics.
On this day at Nabolag, a no‑reporting rule will apply, as we want to get as close to the person Lars as possible.
Come and hear his perspective on the political working climate and the decision‑making processes in relation to the business community – and gain insight into why things sometimes remain at the level of fine speeches.
Journalist and moderator Louise Ravn Skovby from KommPress will lead the conversation with Lars Aagaard. There will, of course, also be an opportunity to ask questions.
Lars Aagaard
Lars Aagaard is the Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities (M) and former CEO of Dansk Energi.
He is known for his deep insight into the energy sector and his significant role in the green transition.
Program:
16.30 – Doors open
17.00 – Firechat: Louise Ravn Skovby poses the questions as Lars Aagaard offers a
personal look into the life of a business leader turned politician
18.00 – Light refreshments and a glass of wine
Please note: Registration is required for the talk and discussion.
